installation notes
tamga is a one time purchase on iPad, while the desktop and web versions of tamga is free to download and use for personal, educational, and non-profit work. for commercial use, you can use the iPad version as you like, however for the desktop and web versions, a one-time license purchase is required. your receipt of this purchase is your proof of license. it is recommended to download and try tamga on desktop and web before purchasing. certain browsers and OS versions won't support WebGPU which is required for tamga. please update your OS and browser if you find this incompatibility.
iPad - available on the App Store.
macOS - tamga is not yet code-signed through Apple. after opening the DMG and dragging tamga to Applications, macOS will block the app for the initial run. to fix this, open Terminal and run:
xattr -c /Applications/tamga.app
then launch normally. this only needs to be done once per install. code signing will be added later.
Windows - tamga is not code-signed on Windows. on first launch, SmartScreen will show "Windows protected your PC". to proceed: click More info, then Run anyway. this only happens once. this warning appears because Windows code signing requires an ongoing cloud subscription that isn't justified for a one-time purchase app. it does not mean the software is unsafe.
Linux - WebGPU support on Linux is still limited. Chrome requires command-line flags to enable it:
google-chrome --enable-unsafe-webgpu --enable-features=Vulkan
Firefox has WebGPU only in Nightly/Beta builds (enable via dom.webgpu.enabled in about:config). support varies by GPU driver and distro. Intel Gen12+ GPUs have the best support in Chrome. if tamga doesn't launch or renders incorrectly, your system may not yet have full WebGPU support. see the implementation status for details.
